The man behind «Andy meets Warhol»

Andy meets Warhol has been named best Instagram account for contemporary art by German magazine Monopol in 2017 and has almost 70,000 followers, including Kenny Schachter, Hauser & Wirth, Engadin Art Talks, and Zurich Art Weekend. The founder of «Andy meets Warhol» is Zurich-based Andy Hermann. Besides spreading his love for the arts online, his day job is working as host at McDonald’s at Zurich Bahnhofsplatz.

In the past, he has partnered with Kunsthaus Zurich and Fondation Beyeler and has a current partnership with MASI Lugano and LaPrarie, which enables him to go to exhibitions and art fairs such as Art Basel.

In this conversation, Andy tells Tanya, about the impact his grandmothers had on him, how he came about the idea of starting a blog, why he loves his job at the fast food chain, and why art should be for everyone. Give it a listen!
